Based on the popular “Pimp my Ride” tele-vision show, one lucky visitor to the Northern Gateway Show at the end of August stands the chance of driving away with a “made-over” vehicle in the Zwonaka win-a-car competition. Pro-Tec Panelbeaters have already started working on the body of the vehicle which was made available by the organisers. Thousands up for grabs during Northern Gateway Show

So why should residents of the Soutpansberg visit the Northern Gateway Show from August 28 to 30 at the local show grounds? Well, for one, thousands of rands of prizes are up for grabs in any one of the many competitions hosted during the show.

One lucky visitor stands the chance of winning a R40 000 kitchen from Woodstock Designer Kitchens. All you need to do is buy one or more R40 adult entrance ticket and you could win this magnificent kitchen. Woodstock Designer Kitchens is the biggest kitchen company in the North and residents can visit their showrooms opposite Makhado Crossing and in Malherbe Street. Their motto says it all: “You can have a beautiful, affordable, one-of-a-kind, kitchen that your friends can admire. Phone us for your dream kitchen or wardrobe today at 015 516 0787”.

In one of the other competitions, a “made-over” vehicle is up for grabs.

“Yes, it’s true! Win a made-over car to the value of R60 000 in our Zwonaka (meaning beautiful) competition,” invite the organisers. They have made a vehicle available and, based on the “Pimp my Ride” television show, this vehicle will be panel-beaten, reupholstered and made to look and ride like new. Pro-Tec Panelbeaters started the initiative by agreeing to do the necessary panel beating, spray painting and fitting of accessories. Thereafter, other businesses were so revved-up about the competition that they also came on board by sponsoring equipment and services, including AUM Upholsterers (interior and upholstery), Express Auto (sound system), HI Q Far North (exhaust), Limpopo Spares No Problem (mags), Midas (all accessories), Motor Town (putting the car through the test), Speedbrake (engine and other mechanics), Jai Jai Jai eCar (wiring and spotlights), Audio Sat (spoiler kit) and Northern Hardware & Glass (windscreen and rubber).

If you don’t want another car, you could also enter for the Spar Louis Trichardt competition and stand the chance of winning R18 000’s worth of shopping vouchers. Again, all you need to do is to place your R40 entrance ticket into the SPAR Grocery Competition box at the show.

Daily draws could make you one of the finalists for any of the above prizes on Saturday, August 30, where someone will drive home with the “Zwonaka” car, someone will win a beautiful Woodstock Designer Kitchen and someone will win shopping vouchers at SPAR.

To stand a chance of winning, make sure you buy your adult entrance R40 ticket(s) during the show, write you name, ID and cell phone numbers on the back and enter it into one of the above competition boxes. Keep the matching half of your entry ticket safe because, together with your ID, it will be required if you are one of the finalists.

Then there are prizes to the value of R4 000 to be won in the Cell Net Chatz SMS Treasure Hunt. Be sure to go the Cell Net Chatz Vodacom stand and enter their SMS Treasure Hunt Competition. Buy an SMS bundle at the Cell Net outlet at the show grounds and you could win the first prize of a Nokia 2630 cellphone, the second prize of an i-Home nano speaker, the third prize of a mini hi-fi or the fourth prize of a tevo shox speaker.

Apart from the above, there are lots of other competitions and daily give-aways such as at the Shaya stand and the Fanta Fun Warehouse.
