TSHIKUNDAMALEMA - The MEC for Education in the Limpopo Province, Mrs Joyce Mashamba, promised to arrange for the construction for four new classrooms for the poor Tshikundamalema Secondary School.

Mashamaba said this during the visit of the National Minister of the Department of Public Service and Administration, Geraldine Frazer-Moleketi, to launch the Digital Village in the form of a Computer Laboratory at Tshikundamalema Secondary School last Wednesday.

Mashamba said that the Tshikundamalema Secondary School is in dire need of facilities and her department will construct four classrooms and an ablution block.

Through the partnership of the Department of Public Service and Administration and Microsoft SA, the Tshikundamalema Secondary received 10 computers.

According to Min Frazer-Moleketi, the beneficiaries of this digital village are not the school only, but the communities at large in terms of technology, by providing computer skills to the illiterate of all ages.

The representative of Microsoft SA, Lunsile Lose, said his company will help by providing basic computer skills to the school and the Tshikondeni Coal Mine will provide computer stands to school.
