Members of the Limpopo Tourism and Parks Board (LTPB) interacted with the public during a highly successful tourism promotion at the Kranskop One-Stop on the N1 route to the north, at the start of the Easter weekend.

Visitors entering Limpopo received T-shirts, caps, brochures and newspapers promoting road safety and the major tourist attractions of the province.

Finance and Tourism MEC Thaba Mufamadi, LTPB Chief Executive Charles Maluleke and Board chairperson Ms Nana Magomola welcomed a number of visitors personally.

Mufamadi urged visitors to act as ambassadors for Limpopo, when they returned to their homes after the long weekend. Later, the MEC surprised motorists by collecting toll fees from them at the Kranskop Toll Plaza. Mufamadi told the media that the initiative was aimed at making visitors feel welcome in Limpopo, and to support the Arrive Alive campaign in its efforts to reduce accidents and deaths on the province's roads.

"This is an important time of the year for us because of the large numbers of Zion Christian Church members who visit our province and many others who flock to our tourist attractions", he said.
