Two innocent people lost their lives and ten people were injured during a collision between a truck and a taxi at Mbhokoto village on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the spokesperson of Waterval SAPS, Insp Kedibone Mabatha, there were cattle on the road and both the truck and the taxi were trying to avoid them colliding with each other in the process. He said that the truck was travelling from Elim toward Bungeni, and the taxi was en route from Bungeni to Elim. He added that man and a woman died at the scene, and ten people were critically injured and were taken to the
Mabatha urged people with cattle to take care of their animals. People lost their lives because others are careless and do not take care of their animals. The cattle were taken by a lorry to a safe place at Louis Trichardt.
