SAPS members receive medals for loyalty

The members of the Makhado SAPS received the medals for their loyalty an event that was held at the station’s premises last Thursday.

Approximately 60 police officials received medals during the event. The medals ranged from 10 years, 20 years to 30 years of loyal service in the SAPS.

In his address during the event, the acting mayor of Makhado Municipality, Cllr Albert Muvhumbe, indicated that he felt greatly excited to represent the municipality to share and witness the prestigious event of awarding medals to deserving members of the Makhado SAPS.

“We have an obligation to make sure that we take all necessary measures to create the conditions for safety and security, peace and stability that our people deserve,” he said.

Muvhumbe further acknowledged the importance of the work which the police are doing in the community. “I congratulate all the police officers for their achievement and faithfulness in the police force,” he said, adding that the provision of SAPS services will not be complete without the involvement of the community. Therefore, members of the community should always support the police in their work.

The station commissioner of the Makhado SAPS, Supt Julia Sebula, told the recipients of the medals that the SAPS was a unique organization which aspired to up holds its policies, the laws of the country and its constitution. “Should you not posses all these qualities, then you are lost in the SAPS,” she said.
