Police in the Soutpansberg expressed concern this week about the recent spate of murders in the area.

On Sunday, September 28, police discovered the body of an unknown man, believed to be in his forties, near Bandelierkop. He was found with several gun shot wounds. The man is of medium height, has short hair and was wearing black shoes, khaki trousers, red T-shirt with a star and an “L” gold tooth at the time of his deth. At present, the motive for this senseless killing is still unknown and anyone with information is urged to contact branch commander Capt. Mphephu at Tel 082 451 7150 or 015 516 1914.

Two weeks ago, Makhado police reported two similar cases, after the bodies of two men were found along the Ledig- and Fort Edward Road respectively. Both men had also been shot. Again the police urged members of the public to assist them in their investigation. Persons with information can phone their nearest police station or the police’s toll-free number 08600 10111.
