It was with great sadness that residents learned this week of the death of Mr Frans Kuhne (70).
Frans Kuhne was born on 2 July 1938 at
Mr Kuhne worked at the Burgershall Research Station before he settled on his farm Sterkstroom on the Piesanghoek road, which he managed very successfully. He had a very full life of being involved in tennis and squash and he travelled extensively. He was well liked in the community.
On August 31, 2000 his life changed completely, however, after he was brutally attacked on his farm. He never fully recovered from the serious injuries he sustained during the attack.
Mr Kuhne died on Monday, September 29.
The family would like to thank Drs Casper Venter, Malan and Stroebel for their kindness towards Mr Kuhne, the staff of the Zoutpansberg Private Hospital, as well as Emil and Lillian Katz for their love and support to Mr Kuhne and his family. A special word of thanks also goes Mr Kuhne’s hardworking staff Penny, Ernst, Aaron and Sarah. He will be greatly missed by his brother John and family.
