MOPANI - Residents of Kujana Village are still shocked about the dramatic incident that took place in the area towards the end of last week.
According to the spokesperson of the police in the Mopani area, Capt Moatshe Ngoepe, the bodies of Mr Ramulifa (22) and Ms Pertunia Mhlongo (22) were found in Ramulifa’s Kujana house in the village on Sunday morning.
The bodies were in a decomposed state and were found lying in a pool of blood. Although the actual date of the incident was not known to the police, it is believed that the couple might have died last Thursday night. According to the police statement, the couple was engaged in a heated argument before the incident.
It is alleged that during the argument Ramulifa produced a firearm and shot the girlfriend in the head. He allegedly turned the firearm on himself after killing Mhlongo. According to the police statement, Ramulifa’s licensed firearm was found lying next to the bodies.
The statement further indicates that Ramulifa was working as a security guard at a Tzaneen-based security company. The police are investigating the matter further.
In the other incident, the body of Mr Effort Kibela (34) was found lying at the taxi rank in Bushbuckridge on Saturday morning.
It is believed that the deceased had been killed some distance away from the spot where the body was found and that his body was then dumped at the taxi rank during the night. The police have appealed to anyone who has information relating to the case to contact them at Tel 013-7990221.
