Pfarelo Mulaudzi is Tshilidzini’s first New Year’s baby

Ms Vhutshilo Mulaudzi (18) of Tshakhuma village in the Mutsindoni area regards herself as one of the luckiest women in the world.

She was the first woman to give birth on New Year’s Day at the Tshilidzini Hospital. Mulaudzi’s baby was weighing 2,6kg at the time of her birth.

The baby girl was born at 01:30. Mulaudzi was quick to mention that her baby’s name is Pfarelo (meaning forgiveness), but she refused to say why she chose that name for her firstborn baby. Mulaudzi was a Grade 11 leaner at the Maswie Secondary School last year.

She proudly said that giving birth on New Year’s Day was an indication that not only her newly born baby was blessed, but she too. She revealed that her boyfriend, Tshifhiwa Phophi, is unemployed. Mulaudzi said that she was admitted to the hospital two days before she gave birth.

Upon receiving the message that her daughter had given birth on New Year’s Day, Mulaudzi’s mother, Mrs Nyamukamadi Nevhunama, could not wait to see the baby. She told Mirror that words could not describe her happiness.
