Louis Trichardt residents should take note that the municipality is currently in the process of upgrading the existing main 22kV feeder line to the CBD and some residential areas.

Consequently, a number of interruptions to the electricity supply will take place in the coming weeks to allow the contractor to complete the work. Residents are requested to be patient during this time.

The envisaged interruptions will be on Sundays, between 06:00 and 08:00 and also between 17:00 and 19:00, and will affect the whole town. The work will be done on Sundays to reduce the inconvenience to residents. The first of these interruptions will be this coming Sunday, February 15.

The municipality also expressed their apologies for the unannounced interruption on Sunday, February 2. Any inconvenience during this interruption is regretted. The municipality also wishes to stress that no guarantee can be given that the electricity supply will remain interrupted during the entire specified time. Supply to certain parts may remain unaffected or may be restored earlier than the specified time. Consumers are therefore warned that all municipal lines should be considered live during the entire period. The interruption and maintenance will be subject to fair weather conditions.
