A dedicated traffic inspector attached to the Makhado Traffic Station of the Department of Roads and Transport in Louis Trichardt, Khangale David Muhadi (39), was laid to rest at the Matidza cemetery in the Dzanani area last Saturday. He passed away last Tuesday after a short illness. According to the information provided, Muhadi had collapsed in his office last Monday. He was rushed to the nearby Louis Trichardt Memorial Hospital, where he was discharged the following day. Although he is said to have been looking fine when he was discharged, Muhadi passed away at his home the following day. During a memorial service that was held at the Louis Trichardt Show Grounds last Friday, Muhadi was depicted by his colleaques as a hardworking, dedicated, loving and respecting traffic officer who feared and respected God. The acting senior manager of the Department of Roads and Transport in Vhembe, Ms Thivhafuni Ravele, said her department was saddened by the untimely death of Muhadi, who was dedicated to his work. "The department will sorely miss his contribution to service delivery in our province. We really lost a hardworking person who was always dedicated to his job," she said. Traffic officers from all over the province, including his friends from the Mollemole Traffic Station, members of the SAPS and fire station officers attended the funeral. Muhadi completed his matric at Patric Ramaano Secondary School in 1989. He then underwent training at Manenu Traffic College in Mutale to become a traffic officer. He was then appointed a provincial traffic inspector at the Makhado Traffic Station in Louis Trichardt by the Limpopo Department of Roads and Transport. At the time of his death Muhadi was appointed in a management position at the traffic station from 2008.
