As another way of recognizing one of the founders and the first chairperson of the Black Management Forum (BMF) in Limpopo, Dr Risungulu no Runga Tiko, also known as "Fanzo” Nyathi’s good work in the organization, the provincial forum held a memorial lecture service on Saturday.

In an emotional memorial lecture service that was held at the University of Venda’s senate chamber, the newly appointed chairperson of the BMF in Limpopo, Mr Abram Luruli, applauded the late Nyathi as a stalwart and gallant leader of the forum and said it was his wish that the students of the University of Venda should follow in his footsteps.

Dr Nyathi was shot dead at his house in Tzaneen in March last year and the family is devastated because his assailants are still at large.

“We thank the Nyathi family for allowing us to commemorate one of our fallen heroes in the forum. We are celebrating his good life and encouragement to Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) after his death, because his soul is still with us,” said Luruli

One of Univen students who attended the lecture, Lucky Ndou, said the lecture was a courageous one and supportive to them as students. Ndou is also the chairperson of the Black Management Forum at Univen.
