Two rape suspects arrested

The Levubu police on Monday arrested two suspects, aged 25 and 28, who allegedly raped a 31-year-old woman at Khwekhwe Ha-Mutsha village last Sunday.

The woman is said to have been having some drinks at a local tavern in the village when the incident happened.

According to the report, the two men forced the women into a nearby bush, where they repeatedly raped her. WO Solly Mukhola, spokesperson for the Levubu police, confirmed the incident. According to Mukhola, the incident took place at around 20:00. "We made a breakthrough at 06:00 on Monday morning when we arrested the two suspects," he said.

Mukhola applauded community members who are continuously working closely with the police in the war against crime. "It is very great to see how seriously involved community members are in the fight against crime. Together we can do more in creating a crime-free environment," he said.
