A dedicated and hardworking police officer, Lieutenant Colonel Shandukani Munyai, was appointed as the new station commander for the Levubu police station. Munyai (55) replaces Lieutenant Colonel Takalani Makhuvha, who joined the SAPS´s legal division earlier this year.

Lt Col Munyai has been a station commander in various police stations across the province for the past ten years. He was working as the station commander for the Gilead SAPS in the Waterberg District before joining the Levubu SAPS in August.

Munyai first joined the former Venda police in 1979. He said he would continue to strengthen the cooperation between the community and the police in the fight against crime. "I applaud the Levubu community members who are always working closely with the police in the fight against crime," he said.

Munyai worked at Modimolle, Magkatle and Gilead SAPS before joining Levubu.
