Young Louis Trichardt cricketer Rameez Jamadar has done it again. For the sixth consecutive year he has been selected for the Limpopo Impala school’s cricket team.

Since the age of two-and-a-half years, Rameez has had bat and ball in hand. He was first selected for the provincial side at the age of ten. For the following four years he represented the team as a pupil of Soutpansberg Primary.

Now a Grade 9 learner at Louis Trichardt High School, he has been selected for the team for the second consecutive year.

As part of the Limpopo Impala u/15 squad, Rameez will bring depth to the team as a very capable all rounder. The team’s first inter provincial clash will be in Port Elizabeth from December 13 until 17.

As a right arm medium fast bowler, Rameez boasts with a best bowling analysis of nine wickets for the loss of eleven runs in four overs during a match against Levubu in 2007. During the same game, as a left hand batsman, he also scored his personal best with the bat by scoring 69 runs.

When asked whether Rameez has his sights set on one day being selected for the national Protea squad, he modestly replied “Yes”.
