A Pan African Congress (PAC) veteran, Ms Martha Joko Mokoditoa (68) of Musina, was laid to rest during a funeral attended by the former PAC president, Dr Motsoko Pheko, at the Musina Nancefield graveyard on Saturday.

All speakers who shared the podium during the ceremony described Martha as a pioneer, a born leader and a woman of vision.

Pheko described her as a real torchbearer, who never looked back under any circumstance. He extended his condolences to the bereaved family and said he would miss the good working relationship and support they were receiving from Joko.

The provincial chairperson of the PAC, Mr Japie Ligege, described Ms Mokoditoa as a hardworking woman who had a broad vision, and said communities members consulted her on various matters concerning even their own private lives. She was always ready to assist with anything that she could provide.
