MAKHADO – The Makhado Police are appealing to members of the community within its policing area to visit their station, to identify a man who was knocked down by a vehicle, while trying to cross the N1 road 10 km near Makhado on Saturday night (February 28).

According to Insp Mbhazima Ndlovu of the local SAPS, the deceased died instantly when the vehicle coming from Bandelierkop knocked him down. A case of culpable homicide has been opened and at the time of going to press, the deceased had not yet been identified. He was approximately 40 years old.

"We are requesting members of the public to assist us in reaching the next of kin of the deceased, or to visit our station, where they can identify the deceased," he said.
