Members of the community, family, former players, current players and soccer officials attended the funeral of the late Tshinanne “Wagga” Nengovhela (34), who passed away two weeks ago.
He was buried in the Tshiozwi cemetery last Saturday. Tshinnane died after a long illness.
The mourners agreed that his death is a great loss to the Dynamos family and the community. They described Tshinanne as a brave former player who was helping young ones, who was loyal to the community and team and to his fellow men.
A family representative, Mr Livhuwani Nengovhela, told mourners that the family had accepted the loss although it was difficult cope. "We understand and accept that Tshinanne is gone, but it will be very difficult for us to live without him. However, it is also important to acknowledge community support since we were greeted with the bad news. God has done His will and there is nothing we can do because the situation is irreversible," he added.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
