THOHOYANDOU - Black Leopards' midfielder, Vusi Kharivhe, appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate's Court last Monday, for failing to comply with the Maintenance Act.
The Thohoyandou maintenance court issued a warrant of arrest for Kharivhe on March 10, 2003, ordering him to appear in the Thohoyandou maintenance court on May 2, 2003, but according to the police, Kharivhe never handed himself over to the maintenance officers.
The police added that Kharivhe then disappeared for five months, until October 13, 2003, when he was arrested and released on bail of R1000 in the Thohoyandou maintenance court.
Kharive's former wife, Mrs Ntshengedzeni Mulaleli of Lufule 2, finds it difficult to look after their child while she is unemployed, and decided to appeal to the Maintenance Court for assistance after Kharivhe allegedly failed to pay maintenance for his child, Bono Mulaleli (4).
The case was postponed to December 01, 2003.
* Meanwhile, Mrs Tshililo Nancy Tshiswaise, wife of Wits University FC and former Black Leopards striker, Aifheli "Magic" Ratshivhadelo, has raised concerns that the maintenance fee that she collects monthly is not enough and that Ratshivhadelo should pay R800-00 per month.
A warrant was issued for Ratshivhadelo on November 6, this year, ordering him to appear in the Thohoyandou Maintenance Court for the increment of the maintenance fee that should be paid for his child, Mudinda Ratshivhadelo, an eight-month-old baby. Ratshivhadelo is the biological father of Mudinda Ratshivhadelo, who stayed with her mother, Mrs Nancy Tshiswaise, at Muledane.
Magic Ratshivhadelo is now working at Leeuwkop Management Area Correctional Services in Bryanston.
