The Louis Trichardt Post Office is the best in Limpopo. The announcement was made during a ceremony at the Meropa Casino Hotel in Polokwane last Saturday
The score of the Louis Trichardt branch in the post office’s quality review was 98,2%. Modimolle is the second best, Polokwane North third and Polokwane South the fourth best in the province.
The communications manager of the Post Office for Limpopo and Mpumalanga, Mr Johan Kruger, said the adjudicators looked at the cleanliness of the offices, cash management and if the specific branch opened and closed on time. "Client service is the most important aspect of our work," he says. Mr Ndala Mnisi, who is in charge of the Post Office’s outlets, says the Post Office wants to give customers 100% excellent service. Because the situation of the clients is important for them, "we check whether the offices are clean, open on time, and if queues are handled properly,” he said.
Mnisi said he was proud of the smaller offices, because they had done particularly well in the quality review. He wanted communities in Limpopo and Mpumalanga to get excellent service from their post office, no matter whether the branch was big or small. “The awards are meant to encourage our people to give the customers good service."
The branch manager of the Louis Trichardt Post Office, Mr Dries Rosouw, said teamwork was the only thing making them the best. “We listen to the customers and rectify where there is a mistake. We want to give the community the best service we can. This award shows that we are getting it right,” he said.
