Two cousins from Mashaka village outside Beit Bridge will forever rue the day they failed to keep their pants on, after they were each sentenced to an effective two years in jail for having sex with three donkeys.

Falcon Moyo (20) and Nkosikhona Moyo (18) were convicted on their own pleas of guilty to bestiality by a local magistrate, Mr Abednico Ndebele.

They were each slapped with a 5-year imprisonment term, of which three years were conditionally suspended for five years.

It was testified that on 17 November last year, the two went to a grazing area, intending to satisfy their sexual desires with donkeys. They were, however, caught red-handed by a local villager.

Nkosikhona was holding the donkey while Falcon was having sex with one of the animals. They were then confronted by local villagers and the pair admitted to having committed the offence. A report was subsequently made to the police, leading to their arrest.

When the magistrate asked why they had committed the offence, all they could say was that “it just happened.”
