A well-known and respected taxi boss from Nzhelele allegedly shot and killed himself last Wednesday night.

According to the police, it is suspected that Mr Tendani Ramusandiwa (50) shot and killed himself at Phadzima Dzumbathoho. The reason for his apparent suicide is not known.

WO Itani Muila, the spokesperson for the Siloam police, confirmed the incident.

According to Muila, Ramusandiwa was shot in the head and he died at the scene. He added that the investigation team then went back to the scene, where they recovered Ramasindi´s lisenced firearm. "We have opened an inquest docket and investigations are continuing," he added.

Muila said that Ramusandiwa had apparently been sick for a very long time.

The incident happened a week after a Vleifontein taxi boss, Mr William Netshitangani, was shot and killed outside his Vleifontein home. No one has been arrested yet, following the incident.
