New York beckons for Larissa

Young Larissa Venter (16), a pupil of Hoërskool Louis Trichardt, is still making headlines on the modelling circuit.

On Saturday, March 5, Larissa competed in the annual Talent Africa competition in Klerksdorp. The judges were so impressed with her performance in the formal and casual wear modelling categories, that she was selected for the final showcase the following day, during which she won gold medals in both categories. Due to her impressive performance, Larissa was also selected for the South African team to compete at the Talent America competition on July 5 in New York.

Several top modelling agencies will act as judges during the American event, including Ford Modelling, Elite Modelling and Wilhelmina Modelling. With such top names in the modelling industry present, this will be a great opportunity for Larissa to showcase her talents.

Within a couple of months he moved over to the production side of the newspaper and eventually doubled as a reporter.
