The three suspects who had allegedly stabbed and killed a 23-year-old man at Khwekhwe Ha-Mutsha Village on March 20, briefly appear in the Vuwani Magistrate´s Court last Friday.
Mpho Balibali (20), Khathutshelo Manthwa (22) and Thingahangwi Ramabaga (23) allegedly stabbed and killed Fhatuwani Mashau, following an argument at a bar lounge in the village.
According to the spokesperson for the Levubu police, WO Solly Mukhola, it appears as if the three were drinking at the bar lounge when they started fighting over a pack of cigarettes. It is said that the three then started to talk with Mashau. The discussion eventually changed into an argument, which ended in a fight. Mukhola said that during the fight, Mashau was stabbed to death.
According to Mukhola, a case of murder was opened with the police. The case was postponed to Tuesday April 19 for formal bail application.
At the time of going to press, the outcome of the baie application was not available yet.
