The Premier of Limpopo, Mr Cassel Mathale, lashed out at journalists last Saturday. This was during his visit to Madombidzha Village in the Sinthumule area.

Mathale said that journalists should not write articles based on emotion. "You don´t need to be guided by anger when you write stories," he said.

Mathale said that if government built RDP houses that were not up to standard, journalist should write about it. "If the government is doing something good, journalist must (also) write about it. They must not just write negative things about government. When we are doing good things, it must be reported," said Mathale.

He added that there was a lot of development happening around, but journalists were not writing about it. "We are the government that is working. Those who always say that government is not working, they are lying. We are delivering services because we can, and not because elections are around the corner," he said.

According to Mathale, government is committed to delivering services.
