MUTALE - The MEC in the Office of the Premier, Mrs Catherine Mabuza, has vowed to help the limbless Tinyiko Catherine Gwambe of Tshilamba Village.
MEC Mabuza said her office had already received the photos of Tinyiko Gwambe and she will be helped after the government has finished providing assistance to another limbless boy, Ephraim Kekana of Zebediela.
The project to help Kekana has been introduced to the public and it needs R450 000 to achieve its goal. Mabuza said the Limpopo government is sending Kekana to Germany tomorrow (November 1), as well as his mother, his physiotherapist and some medical students.
Kekana will be helped like Livhuwani Mutsharini of Gondeni outside Thohoyandou, who received a donation from Premier Ngoako Ramathlodi.
"To provide artificial limbs costs a lot of money, that's why we need businesspeople to donate to the trust fund that the government established for Tinyiko Gwambe."
With the help of Cllr Khakhu of the Democratic Alliance, the Gwambe family has opened an account to help Tinyiko to get artificial limbs.
People may deposit money at ABSA bank and account no: 9101688708.
