Police needs help to identify body of man discovered with multiple stab wounds

News in brief  Date: 16 May 2017

The Makhado police have launched a manhunt for the murderer(s) of a man whose body was discovered yesterday in Tshikota (just outside of Louis Trichardt), close to the cemetery.

The body of the unknown man was covered with multiple stab wounds.

“It looks like the body was dumped at that spot from somewhere else,” said provincial police spokesperson Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

The man, who was of medium build, is estimated to be 40 years old, with a clean-shaven head and a moustache.  He was wearing long trousers, a grey and blue short-sleeved T-shirt with dark blue trimmings on the sleeves and black shoes. “The deceased is not known at Tshikota or any of the other nearby villages,” said Ngoepe.

The police have urged the public to come forward with any information that might assist them in their investigations or help identify the man. Information can be given to Lt-Col Tshililo Ndou by phoning him on Tel 082 565 7877.
