Matibe and Mathivha in ANC chairperson race

The delegates of the African National Congress (ANC) at the Vhembe regional conference are expected to vote for the leadership on Friday (2nd). The conference will end on Sunday.
The event is taking place at the Tshedza Lodge in Louis Trichardt.
The contest for chairmanship is between the incumbent chairperson and former executive mayor of the Vhembe District Municipality, Mr Tshitereke Matibe, and former Thulamela Municipal manager, Adv Makonde Mathivha. The two candidates are said to be intensifying their efforts to garner support for the top leadership position.
Vhembe is the third biggest region in Limpopo, following Sekhukhune and Mopani, with 124 branches.
