Police in the Thohoyandou area have launched a joint search operation to find a young woman who has been reported as missing.
Khanedzeni Millicent Rasimatsi (22), a student from the University of Venda, was first reported missing by her mother on Monday, 19 June.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Lt-Col Moatshe Ngoepe, Khanedzeni left her home in the Hamphego Block C Village, near Thohoyandou, to go to Mpumalanga with fellow students. “She never returned back home, and her cell phone is no longer functioning,” said Ngoepe.
Khanedzeni was last seen wearing a pink jacket, black T-shirt, jeans and boots with a black travel bag.
The police, in the meantime, have enlisted the assistance of the community to help with their search.
Anyone who can assist the police in their search is requested to contact their nearest police station, the Crime Stop Hotline at Tel 08600 10111 or send and SMS to 32211.
