Suspected police killer in court
The 29-year-old Hangwani Molovhedzi from Ngovhela village outside Thohoyandou appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court this morning (Thursday) on charges relating to the death of Lt-Col Phineas Marubini Mamatsiari.
The deceased was attached to the Thohoyandou Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit. He was shot and killed in Thohoyandou last Sunday evening.
Molovhedzi appeared on charges of murder, vehicle hijacking and attempted murder. The case was postponed to 31 January 2018 further police investigations. He stays in custody.
