The police have arrested a suspect that was found with four elephant tusks in his possession.
The 36-year-old man was apprehended at Mbaula Village, near Giyani, on Sunday, 28 January. His arrest, the police said, was as a result of a joint operation with the anti-rhino-poaching unit.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Giyani Magistrate's Court later today.
Police investigations as to the origin of the elephant tusks are still ongoing.
