Limpopo PSL teams fail to impress

THOHOYANDOU – While the Castle Premiership League programme is gradually coming to an end, all but the three Limpopo- based teams, Black Leopards, Dynamos, and the rookies, Highlandspark Silver Stars, have impressed their supporters.

Dynamos and Silver Stars are currently fighting for survival, while Black Leopards are battling to maintain a place within the top eight bracket. Dynamos are lying in the third last position on the log, with 13 points in hand, accumulated from 15 matches.

The pride of Giyani have managed to collect the maximum points only once this season. Silver Stars are one point ahead of Dynamos, and have an outside chance of moving up the log, on the basis that they have played the fewest matches so far.

At least Silver Stars have won three of the 14 matches that they have played to date. If the current league log were the final one, the teams that would be facing the chop would be Hellenic and Zulu Royals. Helllenic have six points in hand, while Royals have 10, after 16 and 15 matches respectively.

Black Leopards have moved to the 10th spot, following their two successive defeats. They lost 0-1 to Ajax Cape Town a fortnight ago, before suffering a 0-2 blow at the hands of Supersport United at the Securicor Loftus Stadium in Pretoria last Saturday.
