Dynamos are still adamant they will finish their league programme in the top three bracket and qualify for the promotional play-offs at the end of the season.
According to the chairman of the club, Mr Patrick Malabela, they were working around the clock during the festive season in preparing for the second-round matches.
Malabela said that their aim was to win all their remaining home matches and the majority of their away fixtures. He reiterated the fact that that would be possible, considering the fact that the mood is high in the camp. He further stated that although they were separated by a gap of nine points from the logleaders, University of Pretoria, their chances of qualifying for the promotional play-offs were good.
He admitted that it might be difficult for them to win the league championship, considering their current position on the log. The pride of Giyani are lying in the eighth position on the log.
The second-round matches will commence on the weekend of 17 to 19 February. Their first second-round match will be against the pace setters, University of Pretoria. Malabela revealed that they will take advantage of the fact that it will be a home fixture for them. He indicated that they want to beat Amatuks and reduce the points gap.
When asked about the possibility of beefing up their current squad during the January registering window period, Malabela said that they were closely looking at a number of players from the Premier Soccer League sides. According to him, they will play a number of friendly matches before the second-round matches start middle of next month.
