More red lights for Dynamos

Sport  Date: 30 March 2012

Things are going from bad to worse in the Dynamos camp. They have been donating vital league points to their opponents both home and away in the past weeks. Their most recent disappointing result was a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Atlie FC last Sunday.

The University of Pretoria, or Amatuks, are still leading the pack, despite the fact that they dropped two points last weekend. They shared the spoils 1-1 with Blackburn Rovers. Amatuks, were further boosted by the fact that the other title challengers lost their matches during the weekend.

The third-placed Thanda Royal Zulu suffered a 0-3 defeat at the hands of Chippa United. Royal Zulu were controlling the game, while Chippa United relied mostly on counterattacks. Their three goals were scored by James Stemmers, Peter Dlamini and Eric Sewelele. Thanda Royal Zulu are now five points behind Amatuks, following the poor results.

Vasco Da Gama are still battling to come to terms with last weekend's game. They lost 2-3 to FC AK at the Eldorado Park Stadium in Johannesburg.

United FC are now out of the relegation zone. They beat African Warriors 4-2 at the Botshabelo Stadium. Carara Kicks beat Sivutsa Stars 3-1 to ease their relegation woes. Bay United got some breathing space after beating Mpumalanga Black Aces 3-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
