Nobela and Basel in league clash

The much-awaited Vodacom Promotional League match between Basel FC and Nobela All Stars will finally be staged at the Malamulele Stadium tomorrow afternoon.

While Nobela will be fighting it with the aim of remaining in the league championship race, Basel must win the match in order to finish their league programme within the top-eight bracket.

Basel's vastly experienced striker, Jafta Mabosho, is likely to be in the starting lineup tomorrow. Mabosho was out of action for the past three weeks after sustaining an ankle injury. Mabosho, together with Louis Chauke and Gift Ramaxwaila, will give the Stars’ defence a tough time if they are not well contained.

On the other hand, it will be a suicidal mistake for Basel to underestimate Stars. Nobela All Stars will pin their hopes on Thembisani Nevhulamba and Chris Manganye for goals. The match will start at 15:00.

In the other Vodacom Promotional League matches that will also be played tomorrow, Rospa United will entertain Dinare FC at the Tshifulanani Stadium. The mood is good in the United camp after they beat Lephalale Young Killers 1-0 last weekend.

Lephalale Young Killers are expected to avenge the defeat they suffered at the hands of Rospa United, when they meet The Dolphins FC at the Seshego Stadium. Fanang Diatla will have a date with Blue Rocks at the Nkowankowa Stadium in Tzaneen.

Giyani Hotspurs will host Magezi FC at the Giyani Stadium. Winners Park will entertain Phungo All Stars at the Mahwelereng Stadium in Mokopane. Phungo let Baroka off the hook and allowed them to score a late equaliser when they drew 1-1 at the Louis Trichardt Eltivillas grounds last Saturday.

The pace-setters, Baroka FC, will meet Super Eagles at the Turfloop Stadium. Mighty FC and Modimolle Aces will rub shoulders at the Seshego Stadium.
