GIYANI – The PSL rookies Dynamos, received two disappointments last week. Last Thursday, thieves broke into the team's offices in Giyani and made off with valuable goods and on Saturday Rikhomeni ri nga peli received a 2-0 drubbing by the Soweto glamour boys, Orlando Pirates.

Captain Moatshe Ngoepe, Mopani police spokesperson, told Mirror that the thieves broke into the team's offices and stole four computers, a keyboard, printer and other equipment to the value of about R26 500.

The ambitious boss of Dynamos, Mr Pat Malabela said he fears for his life, because he knew that there are people who want to bring him down, and he suspects the thieves may have been targeting channels of information seeing that the club has achieved relative success thus far.

Malabela said that the computers were loaded with confidential information pertaining to the club. It is said Malabela's parents have expressed concern about their son's safety and he suspects that there are people in the area "who want to take the team. If it is true, people must know that the team belongs to the community and Dynamos is here to stay for life. I was running the club as a private business, but doing it for the community. The existence of the team in the area benefits the community in many ways," he said.

Ngoepe stated that if Malabela had any names of suspects he should divulge them now, and the police will perform their duty. He also appealed to the community out there to provide the police with information that could lead to the arrest of the thieves. "Our investigations are in process now and up to so far there is nothing we can say," he said.

It is alleged that the team had been advised not to talk about the matter at this stage because it will jeopardise the case.
