Basel FC lock horns with Hotspurs in Vodacom clash

Sport  Date: 25 April 2012

Basel FC and Giyani Hotspurs will meet at the Malamulele Stadium tomorrow for their Vodacom Promotional League match. Both teams have good reason take the match seriously.

They are both fighting to stay within the top eight bracket, come the end of the season.

Basel are still fresh from a 1-1 draw against Nobela All Stars at the Lesley Manyathela Stadium in Musina. Hotspurs will not find it easy to penetrate through the rock-solid defence of Basel, which is marshalled by the vastly experienced Tshifhiwa Ramatsea and Nhlamulo Maluleke.

The other Vhembe District-based side, Phungo All Stars, will also play in front of their home crowd. They will host Super Eagles at the Eltivillas grounds. Super Eagles are almost sure of facing relegation at the end of the season as they are currently lying at the bottom of the log.

Winners Park are determined to maintain their leadership on the log when they face Magezi FC at the Seshego Stadium. Magezi are difficult to beat at home nowadays. They rose to the occasion and beat Nobela All Stars 3-2 two weeks ago.

Rospa United will visit Modimolle Aces, while Fanang Diatla will host Nobela All Stars at the Lebowakgomo Stadium.

The Dolphins will play against Dinare FC at the Moloto Stadium, Baroka FC will entertain Mighty FC and Young Killers and Blue Rocks will fight for league points at the Mogol Stadium.
