Spectators were treated to a feast of goals when Ravele Black Dragons gave Madodonga Limpopo Professionals a 5-3 drubbing in a Limpopo Dairy League match at the Ravele grounds on Sunday .
Dragons could have scored more than a dozen goals, had they managed to convert all their chances. Joseph Mafela of Professionals open the scoring in the 16th minute, when he received a marvellous pass from Tshifhiwa Davhana. Their celebration was cut short when Dakalo Mukhavhuli scored from the penalty spot after a defender of Dragons handled the ball inside the penalty area and the referee pointed to the white spot .
When the referee blew the half-time whistle, the score was 1-1. The hosts were dictating terms in all departments. The midfielder-cum-striker for Dragons, Raymond Rakhavha, was booked for wasting time in the 56th minute.
Dragons added more life to their midfield when they introduced Tshifhiwa Mahuwa for Azwinndini Mungoni. Ronewa Mukhavhuli received a loose ball from the left corner and beat the Professionals keeper with a ground cutter. The Kutama lads lost hope when Dakalo Mukhavhuli scored Dragons' third goal.
Vhutshilo Baloyi caught the Dragons' keeper off-guard and blasted in a groundcutter from the far let corner to score his team's second goal.
The fourth goal was an honour for substitute Phumudzo Mada. Professionals' third goal was scored in the 87th minute via Tshifhiwa Davhana. Ravele's last goal came when Tshifhiwa Mahuwa caught the opponents' keeper off guard and blasted in a half-volley from inside the box.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
