Makhado FC are the new champions

Makhado FC were crowned the new champions for the FNB U/15 Legacy Programme during a tournament that was staged at the FNB Makwarela Stadium on Saturday.

They were presented with gold medals and a floating trophy during a ceremony shortly after the final game.

A team from the Bungeni area, Swakoteka FC, finished the tournament in second position. They received silver medals during the ceremony. The third-placed side, Makwarela FNB, went home with bronze medals.

Ten teams and schools from around Vhembe District took part in the event. They were Swakoteka FC, Crystal Palace, Makhado FC, White Pool New Look, Thengwe FC, Makwarela FNB, Tshakhuma FC, Louis Trichardt Hoërskool, Jim Tshivhonelo and Musina Theo Stars.

Makhado beat Swakoteka FC 6-2 in the final.

The full results of the whole tournament are: Swakoteka 2, Crystal Palace 0; Makhado 4, White Pool New Look 3; Makwarela 2, Thengwe 0; Makwarela 2, Tshakhuma FC 0; Hoërskool Louis Trichardt 1, Jim Tshivhonelo 0; Swakotela 3, Makwarela 1; Musina Theo Stars 1, Hoërskool Louis Trichardt 0; Makhado 1, Musina Theo Stars 0; Swakoteka 5, Makwarela 3 and Makhado 6, Swakoteka 2.
