Ray Pillars Football Club and Baobab Zero Fake FC will be campaigning in the Vodacom Promotional League when the activities for the new season start in September.
They finished the SAB inter-regional play-offs in the first and second place respectively.
The promotional play-off matches were played at the Makwarela Stadium over the past weekend. Ray Pillars and Zero Fake finished the two-day tournament with seven points each, with Pillars leading the pack by virtue of having a good goal difference. City Pillars were presented with a floating trophy at the end of the tournament.
City Pillars beat Tshifhire Northern Brothers 3-0, Mosesetjane All Stars 4-1, drew 1-1 with Baobab Zero Fake and lost 0-1 to RT Giant Killers to qualify for promotion. Zero Fake’s way to the Vodacom Promotional League went via RT Giant Killers, whom they walloped 5-0. Their second victory was against Mosesetjane All Stars, whom they beat 2-1 while they drew 1-1 with City Pillars and lost 2-4 to Tshifhire Northern Brothers.
Tshifhire Northern Brothers finished the tournament in third position with 6 points. RT Giant Killers collected the same number of points in the tournament but they finished the event in the fifth spot because of goal difference.
Mosesetjalene All Stars collected just three points in the tournament. The only match they won was against Tshifhire Northern Brothers, whom they beat 2-1.
