Dynamos will have to wait for another month before they will know their future as an affiliate of the National First Division.
Their case was scheduled for hearing last Friday evening, but the matter was postponed until 10 July. The matter relates to an incident which took place the middle of last month when Dynamos sent a complaint to the league. In their letter of complaint, Dynamos alleged that Bay United and Carara Kicks had fielded improperly registered players in some of their league matches.
This followed after the league had officially announced that Dynamos and Atlie FC had been relegated to the lower league.
The matter was postponed several times, before it was announced that the verdict would be passed last Friday, which did not happen. Their case against Carara Kicks was, however, postponed until yesterday evening. The outcome of yesterday’s hearing was not available at the time of going to press.
Dynamos completed their league programme in the second-to-last position on the log, with Bay United in the fourth spot from the bottom of the log. If found guilty, Bay United will forfeit about 12 points and thus drop to the bottom of the log, thereby pushing Dynamos out of the relegation zone.
In the meantime, the matter between Blackburn Rovers and Chippa United has been laid to rest. Rovers complained to the league two days after playing their last league match last month. In their letter of complaint, Rovers alleged that Chippa United had fielded an improperly registered player in some of their matches. The league’s disciplinary committee ruled in favour of Chippa United.
Blackburn Rovers were not happy with the outcome and they filed an appeal as a result. The arbitrator upheld the disciplinary committee’s ruling. This means that Chippa United will now continue taking part in the promotional play-off matches, starting from this weekend.
