Manavhela Black Rangers were found guilty of fielding an improperly registered player during a disciplinary hearing of the Makhado LFA held in Makhado last Saturday.
Rangers were fined R2 000 and three points were awarded to their opponents, Vuwani Liverpool.
Zamenkomste Liverpool received the same fine for fielding an unregistered player in their match against Tshikhwani Stone Breakers. Benfica FC committed the same offence in their match against Rabali Peace Makers. They were also fined R2 000. Mambedi Sundowns also received a fine of R2 000 for using an unregistered player when they played against Valdezia Juventus. In all the cases, the guilty teams forfeited the league points to their opponents.
Maisa Rainbow received a fine of R1500 for assaulting the referee in their match against LTT Murunwa. Phadzima Shining Stars were fined R1500 for assaulting the referee in the match against Tshirenzheni Peace Makers, while Nesengani United received the same fine for the same offence in their match against Hanani Home Defenders.
Singo Disco Five were fined R800 for causing the abandonment of the match against Sundani City Rovers. The three match points were also awarded to City Rovers.
Murunwa X1 Experience were fined R800 for bringing the league into disrepute when they played Murunwa X1 and they forfeited the points to their opponents.
Mashau Tiger Boys were fined R800 for failure to honour the match against Mutsha Atlantic FC.
Manyii Young Stars were fined R3 000 for assaulting a referee. R1 000 was suspended for a year and the rest (R2 000) must be paid within 30 days.
Mambvuka Heroes were fined R800 for late arrival at a match and the match points were awarded to Benfica FC.
Kaizer Nengovhela started writing stories for Limpopo Mirror in 2000. Prior to that he had a five year stint at Phala-Phala FM as sports presenter. In 2005 Kaizer received an award from the province's premier as Best Sports Presenter. The same year he was also nominated as Best Sports Reporter by the Makhado Municipality. Kaizer was awarded the Mathatha Tsedu award in 2014.
