Madombidzha Try Again beat Ramantsha FC 2-0 in their Limpopo Dairy League match that was played at the Madombidzha grounds on Saturday.
Maanda Maladzha, Try Again's right flank, was unlucky to see his shot going a little wide after receiving a beautiful pass from Ndivhuwo Lethole. This happened when the game was only eight minutes old.
The Ramantsha lads came close to scoring when their midfielder, Marcus Masipa, forced his way through the Try Again defence and released a volley that caused the Try Again keeper, Tshepiso Manavhela, to stretch to the limit to palm the ball away for a corner kick.
Mutshutshu Ramabubuda scored his team's first goal in the 27th minute. The scoreboard was still 1-0 at half time. The home side then effected their first change to their original team by introducing Tebatso Duba for the weary Muthatlelo Thoka. Duba formed a deadly combination with Maanda Maladzha and Balanganani Mafela at the forefront.
The struggle continued, with the local lads pressing hard in search of the second goal. Maanda Maladzha caught the Ramantsha FC keeper, Ndivhuwo Raliphada, off guard when he tried his luck from the 35-metre area. Raliphada misjudged the flight of the ball and suffered the pain of watching it go beyond his reach in the 77th minute.
What could have been Try Again's third goal was turned into a disappointment when Musiwa Nemasetoni shot wide.
