Black Leopards back in action again

Sport  Date: 18 October 2002

THOHOYANDOU –

Leopards must beat Wanderers in order to restore their lost pride. They have won only one of the four league matches that they had played to date. African Wanderers are one of the three sides that have deposited points into their league account at the expense of Leopards. They were beaten 1-2 at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban.

Above all there is a R2 million cash prize at stake for the champions of this competition. The home side will be putting their newly appointed caretaker coach, Augustine Makalakalane to the real test tomorrow.

Makalakalane took over as the new coach after the dismissal of the Mozambican born Arnaldo da Silva Salvado two weeks ago. The match is scheduled to kick off at 15:00.

Another Coca-Cola fixture that will be played tomorrow will be between Orlando Pirates and Bush Bucks. Although the match will be played at the Bucks home ground, Absa Stadium in East London, Embabala are unlikely to proceed to the next round of the competition. It is the same Bush Bucks that recently suffered a 0-5 defeat at the hands of Dynamos at the Giyani Stadium. This match will also start at 15:00.

One Coca-Cola fixture will be played on Sunday. Sundowns Football Club will host Ajax Cape Town in what promises to be a thriller. It will be played at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria, starting at 15:00.
