THOHOYANDOU – "The management of the club has done its part by acquiring the necessary sponsorships and all we need are results from you, the players," said the MEC for Safety and Security in the Limpopo Province Mrs Dikeledi Magadze.
She delivered the keynote address during the official handing over ceremony of the bus to Black Leopards by the Soutpansberg Petroleum (SBP) at the Thohoyandou Town Hall last Thursday. She appealed to the management of Soutpansberg Petroleum to continue sponsoring the needy.
During the ceremony the chairperson of the company, Mr Peter Swart, stated that they have been doing business in this part of the country for several years now and that the donation of the bus to the club is a token of appreciation for the support they are getting from the local communities.
According to him the relationship between his company and the club will remain intact for years to come as long as both Leopards and SBP are still alive. The managing director of the team, Mr David Thidiela, assured the company that they would never regret their alignment with Black Leopards.
The deputy president of SAFA Northern Province Eastern Region, Mr Paul Netshilindi, also delivered a speech during the ceremony. Some of the companies that have contributed towards the purchasing of the bus include My Willow Bus Tours, Siloam Filling Station, DP Tyres, Enos Bus Service, Joseph Mapholi, Cross Roads Filling Station, Lwamondo Motors, JM Matshidza Garage, Great North Diesel Depot, Rambuda Filling Station and Nzhelele Valley Garage.
