Santos and Tigers in Mulindavhathu clash

The quarterfinal matches of the Mulindavhathu Soccer Challenge will be played at the Khubvi Benjies grounds this weekend.

Two matches will be played Saturday afternoon and two on Sunday.

Saturday’s matches are: Mukula Young Santos vs Makonde Young Tigers (13:00) and Tshipako Hotspurs vs Mudaswali United Brothers (15:00). Sunday’s matches are: The Dolphins vs Mulodi Freedom Fighters (13:00) and Rambuda Young Fighters vs Tshifudi XI Experience (15:00).

The final of the tournament will be staged at the same venue on Sunday, 29 July.

According to one of the organisers for the tournament, Mr Ntshengedzeni Mbedzi, the champions of the competition will take home R2 000 and a floating trophy, the runners-up will be R1 000 richer, while the third- and fourth-placed teams will receive a soccer net each.

The teams that reach the final will also receive soccer kits, while the player of the tournament, top goal scorer, best coach of the tournament, keeper of the tournament and the best referee will also receive awards.
