United Artists lose boardroom battle

Although United Artists won their last 32 match in the Vhembe Mayoral Tournament against Makhitha Oscar Stars 3-0, they did not proceed to the last 16 stage of the competition.

Oscar Stars lodged a protest, saying that one of Artists’ players was not properly registered with the team. The league’s disciplinary committee met on Saturday evening and found United Artists guilty. Artists were expelled from the tournament, thereby making way for Makhitha Oscar Stars.
