Zamenkomste Liverpool were crowned champions of a local winter tournament, after beating the Vodacom league team Rospa United 5-4 in the final, played at Tshiozwi grounds on Sunday.

The two teams played to a goalless draw and the teams then went straight to a penalty shoot-out.

During the match, Rospa abused countless scoring opportunities. Ntsieni Makhado unleashed prematurely, instead of moving a few steps towards the keeper. The only player who was booked for rough tackling was Ronny Makhudzha of Liverpool. He tackled Shandukani Mukoma from behind when the game was 28 minutes old.

Rospa had more ball possession throughout the match. Liverpool made two replacements in the second half. They introduced Maanda Maladzha and Gado Ndou respectively.
