THOHOYANDOU – Sipho "Delta" Mukhithi is preparing to give his opponent a tough fight when they exchange blows in a vacant provincial title fight early next month. According to matchmaker Mr Ephraim Simba, Delta will test his strength against Ntshengedzeni "Huggerboy" Netshivhera on a date and venue still to be announced.

Mukhithi has fought nine fights, winning six and losing three. He has challenged worthy and rated boxers. These include fights against Tshepo Mashigo, Vincent Vuma, William Gare and Thomas Sadike whom he beat at the Giyani tournament last year.

Although Mr Simba rates Netshivhera among the best fighters, he sees no chance for him against Mukhithi. "Netshivhera is a good fighter but he makes a lot of mistakes and Mukhithi will capitalise on that," said Simba.

The outspoken Simba told Mirror that his aim is to take Mukhithi to international ranks in the near future. Other boxers who will share the ring with Mukhithi and Netshivhera during the tournament include Michael Baloyi, Nkosinathi Tshinavhe, Balanganani Ndou, Livingstone Khosa, Avhashoni Mbedzi and Robert Kwinda.
