In their semifinal in the Big Three Soccer Challenge, Mutandani Pull Together proved the critics wrong when they beat Ngwenani Young Chiefs, 9-8 at Ngwenani on Saturday.

Young Chiefs, fielded their reserve team. Their midfielder, Ali Themeli, was a thorn in the flesh Pull Together. He was everywhere, making things difficult for the opponents. The visitors from Lwamondo Murahuhathavha were the first to find the net when Rendani Masindi beat the offside trap and scored. Pull Together then fortified their defence by introducing Milingoni Netshidongololwe for Alex Ramusekene.

Although time was running out, Young Chiefs did not panic. They found the much-awaited goal when a  defender of Pull Together handled the ball within his own penalty area and the referee awarded Young Chiefs a penalty. Ali Themeli scored to bring the final score to 1-1. The winner was determined through a penalty shoot-out.
